Single-player puzzles

Nonogram

Numbers describe consecutive groups of filled cells, in order. Leave at least one empty cell between groups. Select Fill or X, then click a cell. Click again with the same mark to clear it; right-click also places an X.

Nonogram: playing on TableDuel

What is different about this version?

Nonogram is a solo picture puzzle with a choice of grid sizes. The clues describe consecutive groups of filled cells, with at least one empty cell between groups. Mark cells you know are empty with X. Larger grids require you to combine longer groups with more information from crossing rows and columns.

A decision worth thinking through

A five-cell row with clues 2, 2 is fully determined: two filled cells, one empty cell and two filled cells. In a row of the same length with clue 3, only the middle cell is certain because the group can occupy several positions. Transfer those certain cells to the column clues first.
