Turtle Battle

Three turtles, four weapons and shifting wind. Aim, destroy the terrain and defeat a computer or online opponent!

How to play

Each team starts with three turtles with 100 health each. A/D: walk, W: jump, arrows: aim and power, Space: fire. Each turn allows 140 units of walking and one jump. You can aim after moving. Team members take turns. Hits create craters; falling and water are dangerous. The team with surviving turtles wins. Human matches allow 30 seconds per turn; if no shot is fired in time, play simply passes to the other player. There is no time limit against the computer.

Tips for winning

Coconut: explodes on impact and is affected by wind. Grenade: bounces with a 3-second fuse. Shell cluster: five nearby blasts, 2 per team. Dynamite: placed beside the turtle for a large blast, 1 per team. A direct hit deals the most damage but cannot instantly defeat a full-health turtle. Short falls are safe, while longer falls deal increasingly more damage.

What is different about this version?

Turtle Battle is a turn-based aiming game with three turtles on each side of destructible terrain. Weapon, angle, power and wind all affect a shot. Special ammunition is limited. Play a friend or the computer; an explosion can reshape the ground and change the conditions for the next shot.

A decision worth thinking through

If a projectile falls short, avoid changing weapon, angle and power all at once. With similar wind, adjusting one setting makes the result easier to understand. Check the terrain and your own turtles too: a larger explosion can harm your side as well as the opponent.
